I've been challenging myself every day in different ways to up-end my own status quo.
- It used to be 2 cups of coffee a day. No more. It's green tea 24/7. Pretty good result energy-wise and that ends any need for milk or the occasional heap of sugar. The objective wasn't to quit coffee per-se but recognize how I felt with coffee and how I felt without it.
- Conventional wisdom says that if you are going to train for a marathon (I'm running NY in November- donate here !) you shouldn't run the full 26.2 miles before hand. Yesterday I decided to see what it would be like to do that. So I did. I headed east on Spring Water trail for 13.1 and then turned around to knock over 26.2. My very own marathon with just one competitor. I saw three deer, a racoon, rabbits, ducks, sheep and horses. I also didn't take any music and rejigged the food / water deal. Happy with how that went but the family was a bit surprised.
