We have the kids, the fabulous Taylor and Mum with us while we are working in the UK. Weekend #1 we took a look at Wales and summited Snowdon - Wales' highest peak - with thanks to a locomotive. Kim and I then worked for the week while the crew drove south to see the countryside, Stonehenge and drive-thru wildlife park.
While in the park, they met a million monkeys who loved the look of the Hertz rental. So much so that they souvenired the rear wiper much to the amusement of the boys. Mum was slightly horrified. The boys have replayed the episode over and over and over again. They also fed Bambi from the window.
Weekend #2 was at a family friend's wedding in Southampton where the sun actually came out and I actually got sunburnt. The after party on the Sunday offered a pool which the boys gladly took!
This week while Kim and I toil away, the kids are soaking up the sites - London Bridge, Big Ben,Hyde Park, the Eye and Hamley's - the big toy store over here. I will also be taking them (kicking and screaming if required) on a tour of Lords - the cricket ground of the Marlyebone Cricket Club where the game was started 20,000 years ago. And they will enjoy it.
